Why we built it

Mountain sled.
Hardpack challenge.

Terrain Link Products created this adapter to address a familiar frustration: overheating on the trail to and from the riding area.

The challenge

Arctic Cat mountain sleds can run hot on trails and hard-packed snow. Conditions with limited loose snow can make cooling more difficult.

The connection

Our adapter makes a compatible Ski-Doo detachable snowflap an option for your Catalyst M. The flap is intended to help cooling in hardpack and low-snow conditions; the adapter provides the connection.

The flexibility

Use a detachable setup suited to the changing conditions of your ride. The adapter stays mounted using existing hardware, with no modifications required.

Cooling depends on snow conditions and the complete sled setup. Keep monitoring engine temperature and follow your sled’s operating guidance. This adapter is not a guarantee against overheating.

The details matter

3D-printed.
Using TPU 72D.

TPU stands for thermoplastic polyurethane. The 72D designation refers to its hardness on the Shore D scale: a firm grade of TPU, rather than the soft, rubber-like TPU many people associate with 3D printing.

Each adapter is built layer by layer on a 3D printer, so visible layer lines are part of its manufactured finish.

Before you order

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Does this solve every overheating problem?

No. The adapter was developed to help address trail and hardpack cooling concerns by allowing a compatible detachable snowflap to be fitted. Cooling still depends on snow conditions and the sled’s complete setup. No temperature reduction or overheating prevention is guaranteed.

Is the Ski-Doo snowflap included?

No. The $85 USD price is for the adapter only. Buy snowflap 860201992 separately through an authorized Ski-Doo dealer.

What does TPU 72D mean?

TPU is thermoplastic polyurethane, the material in the filament used to print the adapter. 72D describes its Shore D hardness. It is a firm TPU grade; the hardness number alone does not specify the finished adapter’s strength, flexibility or temperature limits.

Will I need to drill or modify my sled?

No modifications are required. The adapter reuses existing hardware, and installation requires a T-27 Torx driver.

Does it fit other Arctic Cat sleds?

The stated fitment is the Catalyst M-series from 2024 onward. Contact us before purchasing for any other model or configuration.

Do you ship to Canada?
